Unbelievable!

"They" beat out Sting, Faith Hill, Coco Lee and Brian McKnight for "Best Song Written For A Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media" with "Boss of Me" from Malcolm In The Middle.

Who'd a thunk it?

Nope. I have the original on CD. It was done in the 1940's I believe.

It was a remake. The original song is quite old.

It's the only cover song that they ever put on a full length album, and oddly enough it became quite a hit.

Seriously. You ever see the video for "Put Your Hand Inside The Puppet Head"? What was going on there? At least "They'll Need A Crane" and "Ana Ng" are "somewhat" normal videos.

I found it:

1953 The Four Lads.

I am playing it right now. Its sounds a lot like swing.

Yep. Four Lads.

Here's a snip from CDNow:

<< The (Four Lads) received their first gold record in 1953 for "Istanbul," but the hits kept coming. >>

Yep. They had just two songs in them, and we just heard the third. I don't know where they got the inspiration or how they wrote the words. They've spent their whole life digging their music shallow grave, because there's just two songs in them and that one's number 3.

Does this mean that they're not cool to listen to anymore, since they're no longer mainstream? ;)
