From that source: "Bachmann, speaking at a Republican hog roast in Waconia, Minnesota, on Wednesday, called Noor an "affirmative-action hire by the hijab-wearing mayor of Minneapolis,"

What a cvnt.
More proof blacks get unfair treatment no matter which end of the criminal justice system they reside. Not surprised one bit.

The hijab comment is funny cuz some of the liberal groups in MN are accusing mayor of racism.

Oh, and she fired the police chief. Possibly as a scapegoat. Possibly cuz he really is ineffective. I dont know.

Not he, but she. The police chief (former now) is a she. A open gay female cop. She was with the same department for years, way back since the late 80s/90s.

And now there were several protests for the mayor to step down per ABC News.

Saw a video of the "taxpayers" protesting..without asking for their papers, I sure would like to know if they even had MN tax bills.

Shit, that might be racist. Sorry.

In Minneapolis, response to police shooting of white woman by Somali officer has been different

Kim Handy-Jones stands at the front of a meeting room in a working-class portion of southeast Minneapolis, large pieces of butcher paper labeled “Body Cams,” “Accountability” and “Training” hanging behind her. In the months since a police officer shot and killed her son in neighboring St. Paul, Handy-Jones has met here regularly with a dozen or so longtime Twin Cities advocates of police reform.

But this meeting is different. This time, the room is full. Some of the nearly 80 people present have to stand.

And this time, the majority is white.

Handy-Jones, who is black, pauses and bows her head, displaying the intricacies of her braided updo. It’s as though she’s considering her words, what she can and what she must say.

“I am so glad — truly, my heart is glad — to see this room so full,” she says softly, before building in a crescendo.

“Now, most of y’all were not here when my son was killed. . . . But this is about life, human life, not black and white, not just my son or your neighbor, but about all of us,” she continues. “It took Justine’s death to make that clear, I think, for some of y’all. But I really do welcome y’all to the fight.”

To brunt off the predictable response from the select few here. This woman has put in time for both victims. BLM showed up at the vigil for the Australian woman

The right’s hypocritical response to Minneapolis ignores the bigger problem with police brutality

Coverage of Officer Mohamed Noor’s slaying of Justine Damond has focused on its contrast with the grim American tradition of white cops killing unarmed black people. Some conservatives who frequently dismiss protestations over police killings have adopted the same outraged criticism they decried in Baton Rouge, Ferguson, Baltimore, and Charlotte.

When victims of police shootings are black, many pundits demand patience, withhold judgment of the officer’s actions, and start looking for dirt on the person killed. Damond isn’t targeted with the same prejudicial scrutiny, and Noor isn’t getting the same wait-and-see defense.
