First the Daily Show, now YouTube. Apparently Republicans can't handle the fact that their opinion is in the vast minority.

QubeTV is really just a highly politicized, bogus, whiny, and shrill political video site. It's funny, because YouTube doesn't really have much of a bias at all, it just has videos on it. QubeTV is exactly what conservatives were whining YouTube was, except now it's for 'their side'.

Conservatives just don't get it.

How would you feel if you had God on your side yet you're still the minority or the butts of jokes?

Because that was his point and all.

I wonder how many more things it will take for the conservatives to realize that it's not that the entire world is taken over by a vast liberal conspiracy... but just how few people actually have their viewpoint.

To the last, I'm sure.

I think you loons just need to get out more, conservative values are hardly as few and far between as you people seem to think.

Edit- I can see this and I live in the socialist Democrat stronghold of Maryland.

Geez, and to think I used to consider myself a conservative because I felt liberals were too whiney. It's like a whole new art form with the right.

Obviously, but conservative values and conservatives are not the same thing at all. Lots of people hold personal views that would be considered conservative, and the same traditional values that the right has co-opted as being the sole domain of the Republican party, but those people have just managed to refrain from being total jackasses about it. For example, the vast majority of Americans are "pro-family"...but they mean being there for their kids and caring about education and all that, while "conservatives" are "pro-family" in the sense of being "anti-gay"...see the difference?

My mom used to say that if I had a problem with one thing.... it was probably that one thing that has the problem. If I had a problem with everything, then maybe the problem was with me.

---- that's right. Using the wisdom of 'ol Momma.

Now we have the conservatives complaining about The Liberal News Media, The Liberal Scientists, The Liberal TV/Movies, The Liberal Universities, The Liberal Grade Schools, The Liberal Rest Of The Countries In The World, This Liberal Message Board, The Liberal Wikipedia, The Liberal YouTube, etc... etc.

Maybe it's not all of us... maybe it's you.

That's complaining, it's way different :)

Seriously, I'm not talking about bitching about the other side, that's something EVERYONE does...I'm talking about this "I'm taking my ball and going home" crap from the right. Every time some segment of society doesn't agree with conservative views, you get conservatives slinking off to create their own "counter-culture" version of it, all the while whining about how oppressed they are. Fox News, "scientific" think tanks, wikipedia and YouTube alternatives, conservative dating services, conservative universities, whatever.

Oh, you mean like the Democrats refusing to Debate on Fox news channel?

Seriously though, some of it is getting taken a little too far. I don't really look for liberal bias in things, but I could see why YouTube and wikipedia could have a liberal bias, since its mostly younger people that participate in those things and younger people tend to be more liberal. But again, I don't really care that much so I haven't observed what kind of bias youtube or wikipedia might have.

I'm still not convinced as to what exactly went on there, but if that really was what happened, Democrats deserve to be slapped around for that. I believe Fox News wears its bias on its collective sleeve, but I think the Dems would have shown some much needed backbone to go on there, regardless of what the actual debate looked like.

The same argument is used with the news media, but I'm not really sure it holds up. Sure, some groups are more personally liberal than others, but in order to argue for actual bias of their work, you have to show that they are either unable or unwilling to keep their personal views from influencing their work. And let's not forget, not everything is politics. Wikipedia and YouTube and the media cover lots of things that wouldn't be covered any differently by a hugely biased liberal or hugely biased conservative. Things like the composition of Pluto or the operation of the Salsa20 encryption algorithm aren't going to be biased left or right, and I'd say things like that make up much more of the coverage than things of political interest.

And really, that's what's so stupid about this kind of thing...the "alternative" is almost never as good in those areas, so folks are giving up decent information in 80% of the cases just to get the "correct" bias in the other 20%.

Just curious? where were all you guys laughing at the conservatives when we were talking about Air America?

How much money did liberals spending trying to create a liberal talk radio network because the current talk radio establishment is too conservative?

I will admit that this idea and conservapedia are pretty off the wall, but at least we aren?t sinking hundreds of millions into creating an outlet for our voices to be heard.

I believe the problem with youtube is that conservatives continuously find their videos outright removed.

So? Please explain how that is relevant to the fact that on a worldwide scale, the right wing in america is so far off the deep end to the right that... very few people actually have their viewpoint.

Which is what I said.

Sadly this is what we've become, a bunch of whiny biatches who would rather destroy the other side than compromise.
