In all seriousness though, written English and vocabularies seem to be on the decline. The fact that they had to use the phrase "opposite word" instead of "antonym" speaks to that.

It is not a fact if you just pull it out of your ass, even if that is the norm. By the way, what is a "word search"? Is that synonymous(did have to spell check that one😛) with Google?
 
My immediate analysis of the quantity of words and requirement of being opposites to the given words, I was able to deduce the joke without actually solving the puzzle.

And if you ask me to show my work, I'm going to wad up my blank piece of paper and throw it at you.
