Um, flown Airbus many times. NY to SFO trips, SFO to ATL trips, Taipei to Thailand, etc... All fine.

My most enjoyable ride has actually been in a month-old A330.... everything's new and you can even smell teh new airplane smell...

Pleasant experience so far.

I flew a two day old airbus a319 (spirit airlines)... definitely had that new smell too

Exactly. I fly Frontier whenever possible, and they have all A330's. More legroom than Untied, everything is comfortable and quiet, and Frontier is usually cheapest.

Plus I now have a friend that works for 'em since they're based in Denver. Employee pricing FTW!

I recencly flew on two Airbus jets an A318 and an A319, both were fine and had a nifty screen in the back of the seats with a channell that showed you your position, alititude and airspeed.
Frontier FTW.

Note: 3 coach seats in a row PWN 1 first class seat. You end up with a space you can lay down and stretch out in :)

<-- flew standby and got lucky a couple times. :)

Did your plane not have business or first class? I always fly business class when it's available.

I'm still trying to establish connection between the make of aircraft and the crappy journey. It had everything to do with sitting between two fat fvcks, on an airline with a crappy seat pitch. Could have equally have been a Boeing or an Embraerer.

If it aint Boeing, I aint going. No Scarebus for me, thank you.

I find most Airbus craft to be quieter and smoother than most Boeings, but what would I know, being a frequent flyer? I'd rather just rely on a dumb-ass phrase to ensure a smooth flight, because that is all that matters.

Actually, all I need is to not be stuck next to you when you're on your next trip in a 'Scarebus'.

Would you like some Freedom Fries as a snack on your flight?

What the hell do "Freedom Fires" have to do with prefering Boeing over Scarebus??

Stop calling it Scarebus, dimwit. It's AIRbus, FYI.

So because its Scarebus that means I like "Freedom Fires"?
I'm not seeing the correlation here......

First time I flew to Maui we were on a plane that had 3 seats on one side and 2 on the other. I liked that. Wife got the window seat she wanted and I got the aisle I wanted.

Last time we flew to Maui we were no an Airbus with 3+3. I didn't much like that. Middle seats suck.

For short flights I don't care much, but when you're spending 12 hours on planes in a day comfort is a little more important. I think I'll look for that 3+2 plane again next time.

Not at all. I just don't see anyone coming up with a non-partisan reason for not flying a certain aircraft make. I fly loads. I flew on an Airbus this morning. I flew Boeing a couple of months ago. I fly short and long haul regularly. I just don't see a major difference between the types. Except that the MD-80 types are a bit small and noisey at the back.

I'm not calling you on that, or can you not read as well as reason?
