I left my cat with a friend while I was on vacation for 10 days. They've got a full house, compared to my single bath apartment, and get a lot of visitors apparently. My cat's been spoiled by all the attention he got over there. Had to fight with him to get him to the car.

Let them keep the cat. They get to deal with him when they stop spoiling him, and not you. Problem solved.
