They can stop saying prayers at auto races

Last week a driver was killed, so its obvious it doesn't work.

on the contrary... it's obvious it does work. The numbers of "on the job" deaths... is quite low for NASCAR

Eight drivers died in the 1950s and 1960s;
five in the 1970s;
thirteen in the 1980s;
ten in the 1990s,
eight in the 2000s and
none thus far in the 2010s.

by comparison... in Construction:

447 in 2007
260 in 2010

That was a formula race. I don't think they pray at those. You're thinking of NASCAR...?

It was an Indy race, yes they do it at Nascar, I don't follow Indy cars so not sure if they do it at those. But if we want to use Nascar, then we can use the fact Earnhardt died years ago.

So if it worked, shouldn't none die?

this morning at McDonalds they had some religious channel on... Sunday morning, I get it, but still... at McDonalds?!

EDIT> Oh yeah I forgot to mention this is a huge Jewish populated town.

Let me know how many construction workers there are compared to professional race car drivers when you get a chance...

Obviously the praying doesn't work, everybody that goes to church ends up dying sooner or later.

no, the purpose of prayer is not to prevent death
you probably know that
if not, see my previous post

I am speaking about the prayer they have from a priest etc saying it to everyone, including the crowd and TV viewers. They usually include something about protecting the drivers and keeping them safe. I would include not dying as part of that.

Bet it takes a genius to realize how many NASCAR drivers there are compared to construction workers.

If people are going to die anyway, why pray?

well, i don't pray... because i dont believe in the imaginary guy in the sky...

but most people i do know who pray.. don't pray "please dont let me die" daily.

there are other things to pray for..

hell... look in L&R... people are praying they get 1 peepee touch.
