I'm not into D&D at all. I don't have any fascination with that, I have a fascination with living without time ruling our lives. You're saying that the only way to fulfill those beliefs, ideals, hopes and convictions is only available through lengthy education. I don't believe life works that way at all because if it did, we'd be the first to fulfill our convictions.

I think you should dismount from your horse.

Education is its own end, whether these driven students realize it now or later. How can you possibly wish to go through life without knowing how the world works? How can you not be fascinated by the implictions of special relativity or wish to learn more about yourself through psychology, sociology, philosophy, and the dozens of other discplines? How can you not wish to fully comprehend your place in time and history, to understand where your ancestors truly come from?

Time runs the American lifestyle, sure, but that's a cultural issue. Avoiding that is as simple is exploring the world. There are still a great many societies where time isn't nearly so revered...go as short a distance as Spain and you'll take a decent step in that direction.

Lengthy education is not the only way to achieve beliefs, ideals, hopes and convictions, but most likely these people have the same ambition that almost everyone has - to matter. They wish to change the world, to help people, to succeed by their definition, and more often than you seem to give credit, you'll run into someone who simply wishes to learn. Boring cliche that it is, knowledge is power, and if they wish to accomplish their particular dreams, etc., they will be greatly advantaged by further education.

If your dream is otherwise, then by all means, I wish you the best luck in pursuing it.

seek therapy

Already am but it's not to cure my resistence to conformity.

seek more, it isn't working. you have very mixed up and wrong ideas about conformity, happiness, and success. you prefer to wallow in your own misery and frankly you need to kick yourself in the ass. if you decide to be a miserable fvck then magically that's what you become.
