These insects have invaded my home!

I leave for a week and I return to what appears to be gnats near the kitchen / bathroom areas.

Any suggestions on removing them?

I don't think they're fruit flies.They seem to be attracted to water and they're not isolated to one area.

Those don't look like gnats to me, abdomen looks larger, head seems more convex. Like a fly species. The wings are shorter.

At first I was thinking winged termites, but they look different.

Identify your bug first, then figure out how to control them and the cause.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find the strips. I didn't see them at the grocery store - will try walmart today.

If they're fruitflys, get rid of what's attracting them.They have a lifespan measured in days. You don't have to trap, poison them, or anything else.

Time flies like an arrow. Fruitflys like a banana.
