These error reports, is there any way to see whats actually going wrong?

I keep getting this error report whenever I try to launch CS:S. Its the "hl2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" type message. At the bottom it says "To see what data this error report contains, click here."

I click it, get to the next page, choose to view technical information, but it all looks like gibberish. Is there anyway to find out WTF is going wrong when this happens?

Click on the "Send report" button. If it is a known error, Microsoft's site will sometimes be able to tell you what caused it.

Warez OS?

I have to agree with Old Hippie. If your OS install is legitimate, that Send Report button is easily the fastest way to find the cause of a known/common problem.

If you don't have a legitimate install of Windows, then I think we both know what the actual problem is... 😉
