Me want very much

Fuel Injected Cobra Jet 428

Just browse some more related videos on youtube...they're epic.

It's amazing how many companies out there are like this, where they build these epic engines.

This is what my Cobra will sound like in the next year or two when I get back to doing stuff to it:

Will be going with an aftermarket Ford factory Boss aluminum 4.6 block with 3.70" bores which makes for 5.0/302 with a stock crank or 5.3/324 with a stroker crank. eg: factory block made for it, not a sleeved Teksid, etc.

That's pretty badass!

I like the 302 base motor, if I were to do anything to it, I might bore it out to 306 cubic inches, or bore + stroke to 331. I really would like that. From what I have heard, the 347 is rather unstreetable.

351 => 408 + turbo + gutted and caged notch with a sumped tank and a pair of ball... I mean external fuel pumps... hanging out the back end.

I actually had a dream last night about the wonderful noises my last vehicle with a V8 made :( Even though my current V6 powered car is faster, that noise sure was beautiful.

I've never drank V8, it sounded kind of unappealing...like drinking Bovril or something.

As far as stroking the 351 goes, I was thinking, Ford has released the Boss 351, and it can achieve a variety of displacements, why not de-stroke it? Isn't it possible to reduce the stroke, but increase the bore, so you have a very low-end power car?

I know Ford de-stroked the 302 in the 70's which fascinates me, but I don't want to de-stroke a 302.

I'm curious what kind of engine you'd get with a Boss 351 that's been de-stroked to, say 305 cubic inches or something...

What do you mean by aftermarket Ford Factory? The only "factory" aluminum 4.6 Ford makes for the mustang is the modular 4.6 aluminum for 3V GT, and that's not going to be happy with the horsepower you're looking at.

There is a Ford Racing aftermarket only, but still factory Ford, Boss 5.0 (4.6) alum block with thicker cylinders and especially built by Ford with 3.70" bores. MMR uses it in their 324 setup rated to 1400 hp, more than enough for my pump gas goals. I mean it's factory in that it's not a modified sleeved block.

It's very expensive though, block alone is over $3000.

Actually ALL 4V 4.6L blocks are aluminum, including non Terminator Cobras. The ONLY exception is the 03/04 Cobra iron block.

Believe this is the one MMR uses for the 324, not sure though:

So exdeath could you potentially de-stroke a Boss 351 and re-bore it, so it would still displace 351 cubic inches, but it'd have a bigger bore/smaller stroke?

I'll leave this here for V8 posterity. Was from a Nitrous Street Car Brawl in the area this summer, not my pics though.

And yeah those are turbos peeking out of the hood. Was just a little hiccup when staging, nothing went wrong with the car.
