Refreshing to see some honesty there.
Edit: Just so this post isn't a total dig... you might want to actually do more research and planning on your kit, rather than impulse-buy something, and then want something else. Granted, we've all pretty-much done just that at some point, but it tends to cost $$$ in the end.
High speed doesn't always mean good, there's lots of high-speed fans that only push 35CFM, then there are lower-speed fans that can push >70CFM.
Just, random point... been hunting for fans recently.
I have been watercooling for years, and I now have a pretty extreme loop. I think what you are looking for (you didn't state your need) was a cooler that will give you decent dissipation on a CPU for a 4.5Ghz 2600k, quietly. I like quiet too so I'll talk about low speeds (800rpm).
The key metric to understand is how much energy that will dump into a water loop. That sort of overclock you are looking at around 180W of power, lets call it an even 200W.
Typically at 120mm fans a thin radiator ( like the XSPC RS) will cool about 80 watts @ 800rpm to a water temperature delta of 10C. A thick radiator like the Thermochill PA series will cool about 110 watts at the same RPM also to 10C. Given that ideally you want 2x120mm worth of slots on your radiator to cool the CPU well while using low speed fans. Ideally that should be a thick radiator, the XSPC RX, a Thermochill PA or a great cheap performer the Swiftech MCR. The tests suggest the XSPC RX underperforms for its thickness and its not fantastic for low speed fans because of its Fins Per Inch, so a Thermochill PA would be better and the Swiftech MCR would be very close and is usually cheaper.
The fans really matter. Fans for watercooling have to produce higher static pressure than the average or the water system will dramatically underperform. Gentle Typhoon's are about the best you can get, have a really nice sound and can be got directly at low RPMs. If you can control fans from your motherboard headers or have a fan controller then the 1450 rpm or 1150rpm fans. If not then you can get an 800rpm fan directly.
For this sort of loop pump doesn't matter much, but the D5 is quieter than most when mounted well.
Because its a CPU only loop you can choose pretty much any cpu block so something like the EK supreme will perform very well and tends to be quite cheap. On the higher end the Heatkiller 3.0 will drop you another 1C or so on CPU temperature but its not a massive improvement. Buy yourself cheap straight barbs, some clips, a metre of tubing and a small reservoir along with deionised water and a silver coil for killing algae and you are done.
If we spend the time and suggest a custom loop for you are you going to criticize our feedback or do we have to submit a resume to you on our life history first?
not at all, ill read what you write and if its trash ill ignore it
if not ill add it to my research+informed opinion conclusion.
except i already bought a 400$ kit seeing the people at another forum are more about STATS+FACTS+LINKS vs kids on here who tell me to buy things they dont personalliy own
Some of us have been doing this hobby for a lot longer than you have been around. We have some great members here and should listen to their advice. We do have our fair share of beginners here also but you should be able to tell the two apart. If you must know I personally have 25+ years in the hobby/field, built over 350 custom machines, repaired & upgraded too many to remember. I do not have a college education but can tell you in the I.T. world I can hang with the best of them like a lot of others here.
In short, you will go nowhere fast here with an attitude.
When my kids go to bed I will try band post you a setup, but remember its only a suggestion.
except i already bought a 400$ kit _______Snipped_______
So what did you wind up ordering?
PM me if you do want to know
but im not going to post on here to get critiized by trolls who couldnt give facts but mere opinions.
i buy the worst stuff they say i should of saved my money went air cooling or thrown it away
i buy the most expensive stuff they say the cheapest stuff could of out performed it
Lol first your have your screen name changed then you edit all of your posts?
