i saw alot of posts where the users liked the gc-68 cuz of the low noise. the volcano 7+ has 3 settings and on low setting is supposedly quiet. my question is on this low setting is it quiter that the gc-68? and if so at the lowest fan speed does it cool as well as the gc-68? answers as well as any other comments would be much appreciated.

I've got the Volcano 7+ cooling my Athlon XP 1700+ (on an Epox 8Kha+, in a Lian-Li PC-60). I have the 7+ on lowest, and it runs at approx. 3300 rpm. My Idle temp is 36C (processor) with a 27C ambient. Turning the fan up to high gives a 1-2C drop, but is VERY VERY loud (possibly louder than my old 6Cu+).
