Question Thermaltake V200 TG RGB One Working Front USB 2.0 Port

Hello All

Does anyone know a Fix for Thermaltake V200 TG RGB Front usb 2.0 Ports? Only have 1 Working, if i plug in 2 devices to front usb 2.0 ports--small devices, like gamepad and flash drive, they both keep disconnecting.

Did i break it when i carefully removed front cover once to clean the front fans properly? Am i stuck with only 1 USB 2.0 front port and 1 3.0 front port til i can afford a newer case, and get time to transfer all hardware to the newer case

Have you tried contacting Thermaltake? Perhaps you can replace the ports.

Yes i tried Contacting Thermaltake Via email, and reply was sorry we don't have spare parts for that model of case, Case was purchased from local PC shop in June 2020 (only 1 year hardware warranty with them)

So if you connect something to one of the ports, either one works? So the flash drive or the gamepad will work in either port? But if you try 2 devices at a time you lose connectivity? What motherboard?

Motherboard is Gigabyte B460M-DS3H Rev 1.0

And yes that is correct, if I connect 2 devices in both front usb 2.0 ports they continually disconnect

Maybe...no way for us to tell what's wrong, but it could be as somple as a cable not properly connected or a broken wire.

Looks like you tried Thermaltake...I'm not sure I'd give up on them just yet...

Have you tried using a different port on the motherboard? Looks like there is 2 right next to each other.

Yes my Bluetooth Card is plugged into the 2nd Available USB 2.0 port connection from its PCi-e card, guess i could try switching them next time i conduct my dust clean out and see if that helps things any--as far as i know switching them won't hurt anything to try.

And if not then guess live with it like i'm doing now, and continue using my Logitech Wired Headset, and store the former Wireless one for future use, as way it is now hard to use gamepad & charge wireless headset when it was needed in the past.

After PC Dust clean out yesterday
I swapped Front Panel connector with Bluetooth usb connection

Made no difference though with the 2 front ports in terms of them working at same time.
Plugged in low powered device in both ports, and each device kept disconnecting

So went back to using 1 device at a time lol

Unforuately don't see a way to remove this I/O panel from this front bezel cover thing, plus has button in this I/O area to control the Front Fan RGB Lightning with the included controller, motherboard does not have ARGB connection at all.

Thought about just ordering another Thermaltake V200 TG RGB Case eBay, but i never ordered from ebay in my life, so not sure how that would go lol, then just maybe if i could using the newer cases front cover with this current case, and maybe the fans as well provided the cover was detachable from other case, and worked with the current cases wiring--still an option if i get desperate or need to replace these front fans i suppose.

Or Third Option
eventually purchase a newer Corasir case or Be Quiet or Fractual Design and transfer all hardware to newer case

Guess will weigh my options and make the best decision i can in coming months, and final decision at Christmas or Birthday which way i wanna go with this matter. Guess pulling open this front cover to dust behind it wasn't such a good idea, even though i was extremely careful both times, i might open it one more time next time for dust clean out, and see if i can see any broken wires, or pinched wires, or something

Yeah i thought of that as well on it being the Motherboard.

Guess i'll maybe use 1 low power usb 2.0 device at a time, and for now live with it i suppose.

May take some pictures with Phone during next months dust clean out, and see if can see anything obvious in the pictures, typically i dust out once a month to try to keep this PC clean as possibly can

thankfully i don't have too many usb 2.0 devices that i plug in upfront lately, used to charge my Wireless headset daily with usb 2.0 port #2, then had gamepad in Port #1 most of the time, maybe i just unplugged the charging cable too much to plug something else in up front--as sometimes plugged in another device like an older flash drive at times.
