Thermaltake TR2 430W Power Supply $24.99AR + ~$7.00 shipping

Thermaltake TR2 is a flawed product that must be avoided at all costs. It can’t deliver its labeled wattage at high temperatures. Ripple and noise level are way above the maximum allowed when you pull 80% or more from the unit’s labeled capacity, overloading your components which can cause your PC to present an erratic behavior and, under extreme conditions, damage components.

As much as the reviews point out that this is closer to a 350W PSU than a 430W PSU - I have to say that as long as you don't overload them, they are actually quite reliable.

Reviews are good on NewEgg over 2300

Yes, dating all the way back to April of 2005. That should tell everyone how old this PSU design is. It is basically an HEC that does around 350W continuous. Most people probably pick this up as a cheap replacement after the crap that came with their case died, and for that purpose it is sufficient. Suffice to say that it isn't utter crap, but conversely it isn't that great either.

Unless the Antec EarthWatts 380W goes on clearance again, this is probably the only thing not utter crap that is under $30.
