ThermalTake Soprano

amol

Lifer
I was browsing TT's site when I found THIS

Linky

Looks just like the tsunami, but . . . different . . .

EDIT: it IS a tsunami, just shinier and heavier!

EDIT2: Also, it has a pc speaker, something that tsunami lacks

EDIT3: After further review, it seems that the Soprano is 0.8mm SECC whilst the Tsunami is all aluminum . . .

how can it be a play on the sonata, its DEFINETELY based on the tsunami . . .

sonata is a half length door, soprano is a full length

it has an x-shaped side window

DEFINETELY tsunami

It is so much like the Tsunami, but a step down. Only has one LED light on the door. That looks unbalanced. No removable HDD rack. Looks like they kept the Tsunami's worst feature - the "21db" fans.

Not sure I understand the point.

It has 2 features I wish my Tsunami had. Outside LED lights so I can see what's going on with my HD and Power and Buit in speakers so I can hear the computer boot up and hear boot errors when they occur. Also the SECC material will make the case a hella lot quieter than it is now so the fans won't be as noticable as with the current Tsunami.
This case is definately a derivation of the Tsuanmi. I wish I had one.

Yeah, I never knew that this case would be based off the Tsunami, which apparently looks a lot like Coolermaster's Wavemaster case..

I swear TT takes every new case and heatsink design that's have decent and makes one of their own bastard child revisions of it. Case in point (no pun intended), this case.

Two separate statements... possibly. If so, someone ought to introduce them to the little mark known as a comma.

I (much) refer the Lian-Li v1100b.

Wait wait wait...the Thermaltake Tsunami doesn't have a pc speaker? Holy crap, Tt is a bunch of cheapo bastiges. Good thing I never bought from them, looks like I never will...

i have the TT tsunami...love it! through ever since i got it always had wished that the front panel instead of having the metal finish...instead had the showroom finish...JUST like the front panel of the soprano...damn.....and the dual 120mm front fans is icing on the cake.

And what do you guys mean when you say dual 120mm front fans? If you mean this, "Dual 12 cm cooling fans with fan holder in front (intake) and rear (exhaust) plans for great heat dissipation," then you're all sadly mistaken. Look at the specs, one 120 in the front, one in the rear, one 92 on the side. And read the statement more carefully, all they say is dual 12 cm cooling fans, meaning one in front and one in back. What a bummer.

I have already ordered a ThermalTake Tsunami, but it's only now that I find out that it doesn't have a PC speaker! This is unbelievable! Will I be able to add a PC speaker later? If so, then how is it done?

Look at the picture, there are 2x120mm fans in front.

You dont need one. There wouldnt really be any point to add one later either.

Well I usually like to have a PC speaker in case something goes bad and I can hear the beeps it makes. But yeah you can add a speaker later if you need to, they're real easy to do.

I'm looking at all the pics, I still don't see two 120s in the front. I must be really missing something?
