Im thinking of getting the Vantec Spectrum fan card for my 5950 Ultra so I can overclock it high but as I was looking around I saw this huge hunk of metal and felt somewhat interested. I just want to know everyones thoughts on this VGA cooler and if someone could provide me with more info on how well it cools.

Lol, I'll be getting it on Friday and let ya know how it works. Why would they put on that 9000RPM fan that only pushes 3.5cfm though? Thats pretty lame.

I've ordered one for my 9800Pro and should arrive next week. I've seen very good reviews about it. All of them claim it performs great at low speed (not much better in high, maybe a couple of degrees). Blower is really noisy and doesn't help at all. Double heatpipe is a +.

Well if you wanna talk marketing gimmicks then the Arctic Cooling is a marketing gimmick aswell since it didnt peform all that great with its 5cfm fan. But enough of that Im also thinking of getting that Vantec fan card too but I have to see how this works out and if I need it.

I have the artic cooler on my 9600 and it seems to be doing ok but, yeah the fan is practically useless. I will be making a duct to go from an 800 side fan and wrap around to go through the standard air "tunnel" but withough the fan.

I just got my Giant III today, but the ramsinks are too small for the 16 chips of RAM. They are barely even suitable for SDRAM. Oh well Ill just have to get some from UFOKILLERZ and sell these ones.

My Giant II runs my 9800 PRO fanless...

...and thats with one heatpipe in a Chieftec Dragon case. Don't underestimate those things!

Installed my Giant III today and gave the blower to a friend for his northbridge. Performance seem great and looks w/o the blower really nice.

Cant use mine yet since the ramsinks dont quite fit with my 5950 but that blower seems like it blows way more than 3.5cfm, I think I might use it. Once I get 16 ramsinks to put on this sucker I'll be going crazy with overclocking.

Definately buy this! From reference frequencies of 475MHz on the 5950 Ultra I got 595 MHz but guarantee I could go way higher if the limit wasnt 600MHz on the core. This dual heatpipe thing works great and it barely feels warm, if you have the extra bux to spare then definately get this over anything out there. It is a bit hard to install and requires a lot of patience but it is very much worth the results. Not sure about the memory yet since they have no cooling but I am looking to get 16 of those Tt copper ramsinks and am expecting at least 1100MHz.
