Will this work? I believe that the Alpha HS has its fan on the opposite of other heatsinks. If so, I won't get it but if it does work I will. Thoughts?

honestly i have never seen it done. but since an alpha was designed to have air drawn out of it with the included shroud......its possible the duct may work and work pretty good but id just suggest give it a shot.

It might do OK, but I doubt it will make much of a difference for that specific HS.

What about off a bay cooler? I was thinking in order to get it to cool my HS better I'd attach it to my bay cooler with a cheap fan and see if that would work better (i have the fans pointed downwards toward two empty bays currently so I'd have enough room for the ducting mod)

honestly just invest in a 50cfm sunnon fan and set your rear fan(s) to exhaust and you should see a decent temp drop.........you want more get a more powerful fan. the other thing that you could do....i did it on my swiftech MCX462+ system was make the rear fans intakes and man the temps went down pretyt good too.

If you double a fan using the ducting (or any ducting mod), is that good/efficient/worthless?

Lemme know if that makes no sense.

If you mean one fan on the HS and one fan at the other end oif the duct, it makes little or no difference, provided the duct is properly created and installed. It would help if there are too many leaks, but in that case, the duct itself becomes useless.
