I'll never understand why those who review heatsinks compare the product at hand to stock cooling; it tells us absolutely nothing as to the performance of the product in relation to competing products, which is what matters.

Hmmm, from those results, the IFX-14 seems like it would outperform an Ultra-120E by a few degrees even without the HR-10 back-side cooler...not bad for an air cooler, even though it is quite large and heavy (2 pounds combined?!)

Well, they said they are moving to a new testbed and had no results from prior coolers on the same platform.

means nothing to me if there's no comparison to the Tuniq or the Ultra 120 non-Extreme/Extreme....

but then again, i don't give a hell anyway because once you've spent enough money on hardware, it's time to take a look back and say "why did i buy so much of this useless sh1t?"

dont say that when i look at my comp being loaded 24/7 WCGing. and the temps never climbing past 43C.

my correct response is OMG how do people on AIR do this?!?!?!

CRAP any of u guys know if the backplate HR-10 will be sold seperately? All bowed blocks, and blocks in general should use a backplate, and that thing looks like it would kick butt..

If not you can probably find one on eBay from someone whose mobo doesn't fit the HR-10...like the one in the review
