As5 is electrically conducting. ...

Not true...

Absolutely not true according to Arctic Silver's own specs:

Not Electrically Conductive:

Arctic Silver 5 was formulated to conduct heat, not electricity.

(While much safer than electrically conductive silver and copper greases, Arctic Silver 5 should be kept away from electrical traces, pins, and leads. While it is not electrically conductive, the compound is very slightly capacitive and could potentially cause problems if it bridges two close-proximity electrical paths.)

The capacitance they note could act only between traces on a circuit board. It would be of zero consequence between a metal heatsink and the thermal mating surface of a chip.

Everybody in this thread is wrong. The thermal past must be applied in the shape of single grain of uncooked jasmine rice which was grown in the northern region of Thailand sown in February and harvested in July. If it was an unusually rainy season, the rice grain must have been harvested in early August. Also, the grain of rice must be hulled. The thermal paste must also be applied in a perfect circular shape with an indentation in the middle to promote the best spread. However, if the shape of the processor is not perfectly square, you must apply the paste in a slightly ovular shape with the long sides parallel to the long sides of the processor. The ambient temperature of the room where the paste is applied must be 72.351 degrees with 5% humidity. Newegg sells a processor installation humidifier that automatically calibrates the humidity in the room for $999. A temperature calibrator can be purchased for $499. For best results, the thermal paste should be applied at 213.212 feet above sea level to precisely match the atmospheric pressure conditions of the industrial district in Taiwan where most computers are assembled and therefore match the most-common conditions for which AS5 is designed for. It is best to assemble computers in the middle of winter during the lowest allergen season to prevent microscopic allergens from accumulating between the processor and the heatsink. If you assemble computers in Spring or in Fall, you are basically an idiot.
