Yea you can, but it won't make too much of a difference, 54C is normal for the 7800GT, my 6600 runs at 46C idle =/
 
it's warm, but ntohing to worry about. You're in the safe range. < 55 C on idle is the norm. Heck my 7600GT KO is a toaster, idles around 55-56 C :roll:
