Thermal Paste for GPU

I have some arctic silver 5 left over from installing a new heatsink on my CPU and was wondering if it would be worth it to apply some on my Asus DirectCU 6850. Anyone else try this, and if so did it make a difference? Thanks

If you're not going to OC like beast, I don't think there will be a reason why to put a new thermal paste. Unless you're getting crazy temperature readings.

It might bring temps down 3 or 4c.

this x2, or even more.

I always remove the stock sink and re apply compound and i havent seen a GPU yet come out of the factory without at least 3 times too much compound which usually has a negative effect on cooling. I hope the companies figure it out soon that more is not always better. Its a good idea to replace it. I use AS 5 as well as its usually what i have on hand.
