Thermal paste = deadly?

Everyone keeps telling me different things back and forth can I get a straight answer?

Is thermal paste deadly? I touched a corner of it thinking there was a film there as dircted on the plastic cover, come to find out that it's the acuall grease! Everyone keeps telling me to just wash my hands, I did it 10 seconds after I touched it, others are telling me I need to see medical attention which is right thanks!

Well, it's not good to eat, if that's what you're saying...but I don't think touching it will kill you.

I've used AS2/3/4 on many a computer as well as cheap generic thermal paste/grease. I'm not dead yet, although I will be at some point in the future. 😉
 
Nohr doesn't know what the fvck he is talking about. Call poison control. If you have been feeling "normal" call 911. That is one of the symptoms of silver poisoning.

I like spreading thermal paste on crackers as a quick snack.
 
Some guy kept telling me that I needed medical attention and need to get sanantiszing shots, some shots for anemia or something. I was play CS while I was doing this and admins and people in there were telling me to go to the doctor so i just got confused. I trust the people here more then I would people in CS lol.

Thanks for the quick repsonse, now if I can only get me not to suck on my fingers tonight =P

LMFAO... medical attention for thermal grease, that's a good one.

I use my finger to spread it on the CPU and I'm not dead yet.. lol

Make sure you tell your parents that the oil change places will lube your muffler bearings, but only if you ask. This is normaly a very expensive process, but they all do it if you ask as a bonus for those "in the know". While you are at it, make sure they top off the headlight fluid as well. When full, you will get a glow that is closer to blue than normal. Most people just figured this out, which is why you see so many of those ultra bright headliights out nowadays.

whoah whoah whoah... i can't believe so many people can be wrong on the same thing. you know why thermal paste works good, right? It's made of small carbon chains. These small carbon chais are small enough to be absorbed through the skin and through the cell membrane where it will interefere with your ER and golgi apparatus. If you look on the box that it came in, it says to have 91% isopropyl alcohol nearby for a reason! if you don't clean it off your skin with the 91% isopropyl soon after, it acts as a carcinogen. soap and water can't remove these small carbon chains once they have passed your skin (which is quick!)

So, the short term outlook means that it will initiate apoptosis in your cells ... long term it acts as a carcinogen (well, long term as in more than 4 hours). The place you bought the thermal paste should have warned you about the dangers, they apply for that special toxic disposal permit for a reason.

taking medical advice from people playing CS is an order of magnitude dumber than taking medical advice from ATOT. and we're pretty fvcking clueless.

This is all 100% true and you are going to get cancer.
 
i done this on numeral occasions and with all kinda different thermal pastes - silver based, copper based and sillicon based. and i didnt wash it my hands off immediately either... yet i havnt seen any signs of cancer development.
