When I apply thermal paste, I'm almost certain I use too much, but I'm afraid to put too little. If someone skilled in this art could do a demo with pics or even video (hell, might make a good official AT article)it would help me and a lot of the noobs in here.

Well, I guess that works, but I was hoping for video :). Seems like AS wants you to use a lot as they're selling you the stuff. Well, if anyone else wants to chime in go ahead.

Found a link that works... good enough video. But, instead of a baggie... what I use is a surgical finger glove. Basically, it's rubber for your finger.... sorry, easiest way to explain it. Got a bunch from the vet when one of the cats need a topical medicine applied to her ear...
Understand? Talk to your vet or a surgical supply house...
Anyway... once the die and HS have been cleaned with alcohol and all is ready you put on the 'finger rubber'! Squeeze a very tiny amount onto either the die or finger tip, the one with the 'glove'. Just using the tip of your finger dab the AS onto the die, just the die... dab, not rub... dab it around and get a nice reasonably even layer. Then rub the remaining AS on your finger on the HS bottom in the die area, yes rub, not dab... ;-) Then as shown in the video wipe the HS bottom.... apply the HS and you're good to go.
