Ok guys ordering my fx 55 soon is thermal pad good enough or am i gonna have to u thermal paste i dont plan on overclocking or anything ive heard so many diffrent answers from diffrent people just want a solid answer 🙂 thanks

No, it will be fine even for some light overclocking. What you have to remember is that the pad is a one use item, really. If you remove the heatsink later on, you really need to replace the pad with some thermal compound like arctic silver.

The pad is more than adequate. AMD uses Shin Etsu pads on the stock Athlon 64 heatsinks.
