if one were to put a water block and ramsinks attached with thermal adhesive, such as the two part arctic silver, how well would it be able to be removed if the card ever needed to be rma'ed?

If by "two part arctic silver" you mean "Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive," it's "permanent." Sometimes you can get lucky and it'll pop off because the original mating wasn't very good, but rarely.

I've heard of people adding something to the mix so that it's not permanent, but can't remember off the top of my head.

i bet adding a little standard as would lessen the strength of the bond, but it would seem thermal tape would be the best option. do they carry that at radio shack or a staples/office type store? i don't have anything else to order, yet, so i'm hoping to not spend money on shipping for a solo item.

I was reading today that the ramsinks will hold on with AS5 or Ceramique alone. Worth a shot. The waterblock won't need any adhesive obviously.

i guess that could work as long as you get past the break in period and don't bump the sinks. doing a couple of days of light activity to get past the watery stage before gaming would probably cure it enough for that.
