The guy Mullins in charge over there is a piece of shit. This was funny, from a Congresperson Mullins called a first-class whore:

“Ed Mullins, who famously called me a ‘first-class whore’ for daring to ask questions about the SBA, just got a first-class raid from the FBI,” tweeted Rep. Ritchie Torres as word of the raids spread."

ya ever notice theres only one type of union Republicans ever support?
It's because "all politics is local," as they say, and controlling big city police unions is how monied interests outside the cities exert undue political influence inside the cities.

Just look at Trump, look at Giuliani, it was because of the corruption from Giuliani that Trump was allowed to build Trump Tower in the first place by avoiding taxes and bypassing the normal process. Giuliani enabled this for Donald Trump. So naturally, Giuliani would continue the process of doing Trump's dirty work during Trump's presidency and after his presidency. And now THIS???
Everything Trump touches turns to crap, and everyone involved with Donald Trump is nothing but pure crap.

He resigned.

Thats a sure indicator of innocence.
Under pressure from the board:

"Mullins resigned as the union’s president Tuesday night, according to a message the union's board sent to members. The board said he did so at its urging. The union represents about 13,000 active and retired NYPD sergeants and controls a $264 million retirement fund.

“The nature and scope of this criminal investigation has yet to be determined. However, it is clear that President Mullins is apparently the target of the federal investigation," the board's message said. "We have no reason to believe that any other member of the SBA is involved or targeted in this matter."

The union’s board said that while Mullins is presumed innocent, it asked him to step aside to ensure the union’s day-to-day operations continue unimpeded. The board said the union was cooperating with the investigation.
"

This is inappropriate though:

"Though he's a full-time union chief, city law has allowed Mullins to retain his sergeant's position and collect salaries from both the union and the police department. Last year, Mullins made more than $220,000 between the two, according to public records: $88,757 from the union and $133,195 from the NYPD."

Yep. So while Ed Mullins was calling the mayor endless shitty things, doxxing the mayor’s daughter, and spreading explicitly racist propaganda he was a city employee yet they couldn’t fire him.

Kind of funny that De Blasio’s year of living well continues. First Cuomo goes down, now Mullins. All we need now is Pat Lynch.

I have never seen a genuinely happier man in public office than him lately.

Stepping aside is also a ploy that would lessen the threat to those who were complicit with the crimes Mullins may have committed. Bury him deep, make him go away, nothing to see here folks, everything's fixed with his removal as if he never existed.

All's well that ends wrecked and erased from the minds of the people, right?
