This is the best suggestion here. Plus even if he escapes today he'll go for the food in the trap sooner or later

how did you trap (cornor) a rat under your bed? you will not hold him long if you did cornor him. they will eat/naw there way out.

go get a couple of rat traps and bait them

don't use poision, it's get in the whole food chain and kills other animals. rat poision should be banned.

Yeah I never thought about putting those in a paper bag. Good idea! We had some mice and traps in a previous house, but now in this new one I haven't seen any yet.

Stand on the bed and squeal like a little girl until his furry little head explodes.

That was the first thing I tried, but I guess I couldn't get the pitch of my voice high enough because it didn't work. So, I took all my USPS Priority Mail shipping boxes that I have and used them to trap him in completely. I left only a narrow pathway leading out the door through which he could escape. Then I lifted up the mattress and box spring and stared him down. But all he did was stare back. So I went outside and found a rake. I came back in and used the rake to prod him out the door, and as soon as he was outside "WHAM!" I hit him with the rake. He died pretty quickly, then I bagged him up and threw him away. Now, I've got to go buy some traps to keep his friends away. And yes, I need to clean!

What hypocrisy is this? Disgusted by the sound of the neck breaking? Well then, by all means, condem the rat to a horrible death if it makes you more comfortable. Just imagine your hands and feet are glued to the floor, you havn't eaten in 2 days, and you're covered with insect bites.

When I was 8 years old, visiting my grandfather in NYC, I came across a live mouse stuck in a glue trap, sitting out on the sidewalk in the middle of the Bronx. Once I found some gloves, I tried to pull it free, but the mouses's legs broke before the glue let go. That memory stuck with me.
