Get some traps, block the holes in your walls (under the kitchen sink is a likely place) and check off places where they might be storing food (we have an IKEA bookshelf that the mice were storing misc seeds and whatnot in the front corners underneath).

had a mouse come into my house after we had a flood in my area. got lucky and chased it out the door, and haven't seen it since.

was a rather odd awakening at 5am to feel something on my back and going to scratch it only for it to run across my back onto my head and up a curtain.
