There's a first time for everything in poker..

Boo-yah!

My first Straight Flush! 8 of Hearts on the river, I only wish I could've taken the print screen faster to show the cards on the table, but I was sort of in a state of shock lol. Was only for play money as you can see, but was still a rush!

In the 3-4 years I've been playing I've gotten 3 total... twice on Full Tilt... (once in Hold'em and once in Omaha) and then once during poker night.

It's still exciting to see one.

I've yet to see a royal flush though.

Edit: Not trying to "show you up" or be mean about it... just sharing my Straight Flush experiences.

I always thought that there was a first time for everything, in everything. Good to know that rule is only for poker.

You know, it's weird. In the 4 years I've been playing I've had the Royal 4 times but only had the straight flush twice. Go figure.

I made a straight flush (Q high) my first time playing hold em' in a casino.

I knew what you meant. My head was elsewhere on having a Q or K high flush and the other guy having the higher flush.

On ultimatebet.com's site I hit a str8 fluch jack high on a $10/$20 no limit table. That hand netted me a respectable $900 someodd. Was my first one as well Highever on the same site on much smaller tables I managed to hit 2 royal's that did not net much :|

i've gotten two royals and a straight before, one on party poker, pokerstars and pacific poker.

highest in real life was quad deuces at the borgata. man i sure made a huge pot with that hand!!!!!!! i had pocket 2's and flop came out A K 2 then 2 J, busted a straight, a flush and trip jacks almost casino royale style, but not as dramatic
