there's a bump in my lower eyelid!

my lower eyelid of my left eye has a bump on it, right where the eye lashes are. i just noticed it. what the hell is it? how do i get rid of it? it doesn't hurt or anything, but still scary.

I've had it before. I've actually had one INSIDE my eyelid, rubbing my eyeball. Other than a major annoyance, it was harmless and went away on its own in a short period of a time. My dad, the bright lightbulb that he is, brought out a Q-Tip, assumed an authoritative mode, and told me to sit down and prop my eye open; apparently he thought that I somehow got a piece of debris stuck there.

A sty is an infection at the root of an eyelash. The bacteria comes from your nose, so pretty much itching/picking nose + rubbing eyes alot = sty.
Maybe you do this when you are stressed?
