Here is the deal. A buddy of mine has a dell computer with a micro ATX board of the 810e deal. The network card does not light up on either slot I try. Then I plug that same network card in my computer.

It shows signs of life.

I used my network card in his machine. It works too.

So... Is Dell at fault? Or am I going to build whole new machines for my buddies who have dells and compaqs with crashes and broken keyboards and dvd players that would not read dvds???

I am starting to think that the pins on the board might not be lined up. Plus, a wierd cable was found attached to a 3 pin deal to a 3 pin deal on the motherboard when I opened it.

Yeah. Opened his configs and noticed drivers of 3com left. He replaced the network card with a Linksys.

Dunno why. He also got one of those vipers video cards too. And I had to help him to switch it from the onboard video to the video card.
