Palestinian parents step in to stop suicide bombing by kids

The parents of a 17-year-old Palestinian girl recently prevented what could have been a tragedy, Sehwail said.

The girl ran away about two weeks ago leaving a note saying she was going to blow herself up in Israel.

Her father refused to let it happen, Sehwail said.

"The father called the Palestinian security officials and the Israeli security officials, and just a few days ago the girl was found safe and sound and her suicide was averted," he said.

Her parents went one step further. The girl is now under psychiatric care to deal with her depression and anger. She wanted to become a suicide bomber, Sehwail said, because "a cousin had recently been killed by Israel soldiers and she wanted revenge."

I bet the families of the Israeli victims are suffering alot of hatred and anger now, yet I don't see them strapping on bombs and killing innocent Palestinians...

I say it is a matter of common sense...kill your enemy not somebody who happens to be minding their own business shopping for veggies or attending mass or something...

the suicide bombers have no common sense, at least the IDF targets bad people..

Ha Ha Ha. Sorry, but you are sorely misinformed. The IDF has killed way, way more innocent Palistinians then the suicide bombers have.

You have to think: "How oppressed would I have to be to blow myself up?" For me, that would be god awfully damned oppressed.

Kudos for the girls Dad doing the right thing though. Now only if Sharon would do the right thing...

Reread what I posted...TARGETED thge IDF has way too much collateral damage, but then again they do kill other people besides the innocents something the suicide bombers can't really claim.

Mr Sharon is trying to protect his people by capturing and killing those that murder his people. The suicide bombers are just killing as many Israeli's as possible be they a 30 y/o reserve member or a 2 y/o girl in a stroller..
