There is no computer case for me :(

I've been through many computer cases in my day and have always enjoyed building unique rigs that no other kid on the block had.
I've been through Thermaltake, Coolernaster, Lian Li and many other great cases in my day. I gave up the the Thermaltake Mozart Tx a little over a year ago and was one of the first people to invest in the HAF 932 which is a fantastic piece of engineering.
However...I sure do miss the uniqueness of my Mozart TX.
It's come that time again that I want to change and I simply cannot find anything that satisfies me. The mountain mods cases are great but the design is just not quite right for me.

Anyone know of any other large cube cases or full tower cases new to market that might spark my interest?
Please help to satisfy this spoiled souls needs

Check out the Silverstone FT02 or TJ11 (coming soon). They might be something that interests you.

The Corsair 700D and 800D are worth a look as well.

Silverstone TJ-07 <--- u really cant get sick of this case.

Lian Li V2000 <--- wtf wont LL make them like this anymore.

On a serious note, the TJ07, even with its dated 92mm fans and lack of frontal eSATA, is still one of my favorite cases... and I've never even owned one. I really wish I could score one in good shape for $150 or less. I'm using the FT01 right now and I find the quality and aesthetics to be superb.

The V2000 series was great as well. I wish more manufacturers would jump on the brushed aluminum / curved exterior bandwagon.

Love the drive bay slots in the LianLi-343B. Only problem with that case is airflow. Windy makes some wonderful cases. I awlays think of a good armani suit when I see them. Just beautiful. Airflow is in question however for an overclocker.

Two things that are very important to me are lots of airflow options and 5(minimum) drive bays.

Those silverstone cases are top notch design but usually slightly too bland looking for me.

Ummm as the nicer the case gets, the less air flow you will get in them.
Because more airflow = more noise.

Dust yes, you need to dust it everyday with a can of air.

Real overclockers with the madskillz can create a quite AND cool system. I've done plenty of customizations. (including making the most awesome wooden case you have ever seen) Done plenty of watercooling as well and enough to know that running on air is even more of a challenge. I run an overclocked e8400 on air that idles at 24c and peeks at 32c with the fan on low.

Can you do that? Btw my rig is VERY quiet.

Love the case Aigomorla. I had a top deck station as my primary rig a couple years back but gave it up shortly thereafter.

Racks are fun, but they get played out too fast.
I cant really think of any high class case which you would fall in love with.

As i said, lian li doesnt make them like they used to, and the TJ07 is expensive if you can find one.

I did want to build out of a Qmicra V2 tho, that seemed like it would be a ton of fun.
But thats a SFF case.

Any Silverstone FT02 users..?

This case looks like it would be about the best stock air cooler case out right now. My main concern would be the limitations on the length of the video card you can use. As it is, the fan grille has to be removed to fit a 5970. Granted, that is a HUGE card, but they just keep getting longer and longer every generation.

I have an FT02 sitting up in the attic. It's a WONDERFUL case for air cooling, has great external cable management, and is very quiet. However, it's also extremely deep, which made it impossible to fit on or under my desk without sticking out. In the end, I "downgraded" to an FT01, which I absolutely adore.

The FT02 Is beeeeautiful but the wannabe btx window is on the wrong side.

If you look at the layout of the FT02 carefully, you will notice that the way they situated the 90 degree motherboard facing the "BTX" side is probably the best way to do it. The PSU is in the back where it can intake cool air and exhaust it out the top, and the SATA connectors on the motherboard are close to all the drives up front.

My main complaints about the case are the limitation on the length of video card, and the fact that Silverstone still doesn't make optical drive bezels. Why make a gorgeous case like that with no optional drive bezels?

I'm sort of in the same boat you're in... I decided to drop water cooling for now, and I cut the hell out of my Rocketfish to make room for the rads. The Rocketfish is still perfectly usable as an air cooler case (even better actually with a 120.4 rad grille + four fans up top), but it's more of a mental thing that is making me consider a new case. I just can't find one that really speaks to me right now though.

The FT02 is the closest thing to what I'm looking for, but the Corsair 700/800D cases are probably the most user friendly. After the hassle of water cooling, 'easy' appeals to me. However, neither the Silverstone nor the Corsair, with their steel and plastic components, are really as elegant looking as the all aluminum Lian Li cases. For the moment though, Lian Li has nothing that excites me. Their cases right now are either awkward or outdated.

I guess I'm looking for a case with the basic layout of the FT02, cable management/ease of use of the corsair, but with the all aluminum manufacturing and bezel options as the Lian Li cases.

No the FT02 is perfect were it not for the fact that my desk is on the right side of the room and my case on the right side of the desk. This means for me the case window would be against the wall. Agree about Lian Li. They use the finest materials and the finest work but their designs are meant to be left alone(not modded). They are the perfect HTPC but not cut out for modding and playing.

errrr u do know the case which all that h2o gear belongs to is that same one.

So i guess u can say its an upgraded version of what you saw in maximum PC.

The pedistool in mine holds all my radiators.
About 4 to be exact, is where my tri loop system gets all its cooling done.
Aka, the cooling tower.

honestly, for air cooling, look elsewhere other then MM.
They make great water cases, but there very boring for an air case.

Have you seen the up coming V2120? Similar to the old V series, but with a motherboard tray and back plane big enough for an EVGA SR-2...

...and the V1020, basically a standard Lian mid tower with the V series look.
