Find themselves in jail? You've got to commit a crime though, you can't just wake up in jail. Being poor is one thing, and not neccesarily your fault. If you commit a crime, that's your own decision.

If you ask me, its really more of an income thing and location thing than race thing. It just so happens that there are quite a few minorities living in uhhh...highly urbanized areas.

I'll consent that caucasion, on average, have better advantages (more money == better lawyer, better lawyer == better chance of being set free) in the legal system. I have seen some discrimination, but for the most part, the legal system does what it is supposed to do -- punsih those who commit crimes. You commit a crime, you go to jail.
