He's trying to point out that when Obama was first elected to the Presidency the Democrats controlled the House, the Senate and about 28 Governors. In 2016 they lost control of the Presidency, in 2014 the Senate, in 2010 they lost the House and they now have about 18 Governors.

It also looks as if they will lose more Senate seats and House seats in 2018.

In general, democrats do a lousy lousy job with midterms and other non-presidential elections. They really need a strategy change. In fact, if they could simply grab enough governorships and state hours, they could push through on a near national scale a considerable agenda that completely bypasses the federal government because interstate agreements are federally protected. It has nothing to do with extremists and leftists. In fact, if you poll most american's, most people's views align most closely with the democratic parties views on major issues.

It's been mostly just bad political strategy to ignore control of states especially in census years where districts are drawn up and gerrymandering occurs and things like that.

The largest self identified group are conservatives, followed by moderates, last and least are the self identified liberals.

Trolls often intentionally say incorrect things for obvious reasons. Calling him stupid for getting the facts wrong would imply he cares about accuracy and therefor not really a troll.

It's always interesting to me how many people here will state positions that are easily shown to be contrary to empirical evidence and when shown that will just say 'well I don't care what that says I know it's true'. We live in a weird world.

Weird I can live with. I find it troubling, however, when those most capable of rational thinking are deemed by the crazies to be a national threat. The difference between people who require institutionalization and our conservative friends is that the voices of madness the latter listen to are real, on the radio and TV and come straight out of the madness called the Republican party. Now all of us Americans live in one big insane asylum run by the inmates.
