ThemeXP.org - All of the visual styles have spyware

Really annoying. Especially all the good ones, all of the installers have some sort of spyware in them.

Anyone know of any other sites that have visual styles for StyleXP?

why do they have damn installers why can'tt hey just give oyu the visual styles file and do the UXtheme.dll hack and then you're set?

yes i noticed this long ago, Hell i even emailed the dude thet ran that site then and asked hom why they were all full of crapware, never got a responce

i was lucky to have saved the only theme i use from before they started coming with crapware, its the Arysta skin, if you want it LMK ill send it to you

that has never worked for me

first 2 times i tried in, different comps, when i restarted windows it fvxked up and i had to reinstall

next time it went fine however i still couldent apply styles successfully

then i gave up

If you click download and then cancel 2 times on the third time it will let you download a zip file with no spyware. Give it a try

Edit: I just tried it again and still lets me download zip files without those stupid spyware filled exe's.

Try more than 2. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 times. Just click download then cancel over and over again until it lets you download a zip file.

1) Open the EXE with Winrar before installing
2) Remove Spyware from EXE
3) Either install or remove good files and install manually.
4) ...
5) Profit!

You sure you mean ThemeXP.org? I just tried a couple themes and canceled up to 10 times without getting a zip option.

Psst: Anyone who got the "Download and click cancel a few times" trick working mind if you tell us where the folder is located on the server?

I apologize, this used to work like 2 months ago. They must have realized the flaw and fixed it. I was using Firefox. If I can think of something else I'll let you know.
