Theme Photo Thread

At some photography sites I visit they have a monthly photography contest where members are given a theme and then they submitted their best photo relating to the theme.

Since we have so many people here interested in photography I thought maybe we could do something similar, but not as a contest, just for fun to see what sorts of photos people would come up with on the theme for comparison and comments. When it was a contest at the photography sites people would put a lot of work into making it an artistic interpretation of the theme, but since this isn't a contest it could be anything from artistic to just a photo you already have and like that fits the theme. If you want to get creative about it that's fine, if not, that's okay too.

I think it would be best not to limit it to one photo, you could just post as many as you wanted and the thread would last as long as people kept submitting photos on the theme, then we'd start another one with a new theme.

I thought "Oops!" would be a good theme to start with because a lot of people probably already have some photos that would fit it. If there seems to be an interest in the idea then we can try some themes later on that would make good projects to see how creative people could get.

So what do you think? Who's interested?

I'll start us off with this one:

Oops!

Stolen from a thread by thescreensavers

EDIT: Okay, I didn't take the picture, but NOTHING says 'oops' more than that.

Took this picture when driving to work one day, was one of those big Mac dump trucks laying on its side in the middle of the highway.

Taken with my crappy v600 camera phone at the time.

Took it myself so I can guarantee it's 100% legit.

While I appreciate the photos some of you have posted, I was hoping that the thread would get people to post photos they took themselves. I think it would make it more interesting to see their photography skills or to hear the story behind the photo.

I don't know if there will be an interest in this sort of thing. I do know that we have a lot of good photographers and people interested in photography here in ATOT. Maybe people would be more interested in a photography contest type of thread instead. I don't have the time to organize and work on anything like that, but if someone could, I'd be all for that.

I guess I'll just bump this a few times over the next couple of days and see if it catches on, if not, at least I gave it a try.

Thanks for the photos so far.

LOL, boys and their toys! That must have been one huge mud puddle, well I guess it was a lot smaller after most of it ended up in the jeep. :D Hope everything got dried out okay.

Edit: Oh my! Now I see with that other photo. That wasn't a mud puddle, that was a river disguised as a road!
