I don't know about those Ultras but for $15 AR it worth a shot. Newegg doesn't even carry them (do they? couldnt find them). There is an extensive power supply thread on another hardware websites forum that goes into the good and bad power supplies. Here is a cut and paste about the Ultras. I would link the website but it may be a no, no here. If its ok I will. I will tell you the site starts with Hard. That should be ok....?

I have their 485w power supply and i love it. You have LOTS of people say they have problem with the ultra psu. How many complaints have you seen with thermaltake?
And this is the best power supply? Do you know what the fluck your talking about? You think this thing would be a seasonic or a fortran unit?

I must agree that you are totally OUT OF LINE! Who cares what site gave it a 9 out of 10, if you want I'll create a website and give it a 0 out of 10 for you to balance it out. First, I own this power supply and it is far from "THE BEST" Is that review from anandtech even? Hrm, guess not.. how can you trust it then? People have agenda's believe it or not.
The best is in this review... it's probably the Seasonic 600w or something, though there is bigger/badder ones that are better, just their cost is that of a computer in itself.

That is from a real LEGIT site, not some crappy no name place that probably got the PSU free and gave it a good review because of that.
Best part is I own all PSU's references here, I own the seasonic, thermaltake, and the crappy ultra. Guess which one ISN'T in a computer.... the *()%^&%^( of crap Ultra. It does look nice, but they have major issues, more than Antec and uncomparable to a seasonic. Is the ultra ok for $15? YEAH IT IS! But that thermaltake is atleast as good if not better.

To say that the Thermaltake PS is "worthless" and that the Ultra "is the best" would be wrong on both counts. I happen to own the Thermaltake mentioned above and it works just fine for what I'm using it for (read stable) and apparently is at least worth 30 to 40 dollars - just read some of the 100+ reviews and it becomes clear that it must at least be able to power up a basic computer and make it functional. To say that a $15 AR PS "is the best" at best shows a lack of understanding. I won't even pretend to know which one is the better of the two...
Let me just say from my own experience that for $40 incl. shipping ($30 if you don't mind waiting for one rebate), this PS may prove to be a "decent deal" after all as the original post states. If you have more cash, my money would be on SeaSonic or PC Power & Cooling.

If he would have been polite and courtious i wouldn't have been so rough. If he would have said for those looking for a power supply there is also a deal for a .... psu at ...... Instead of doing it the way he did i would have been cool with that but he didn't and was rude as hell. I have had this dude crap on my threads too and have seen numerous other people where he has done the same thing so i got just a LITTLE angry.
that is a good deal, I have the 420W TT active PFCs which i bought for $45 and had to sleeve myself. nice price, good PSU.

Give me one good review about this PSU as Compare to ULTRA.
I got one last week, so far no issues running a 2800+ newcastle @ 2.4gig, 2 HDD's, CD-rom, and an X800XT AIW. which is pretty dang decent for a 30$ Powersupply, and the lines are solid.
P.S. definately not quiet though, about average for PS fan noise.
