Thee Amerikanskys whining about gas price in America, stop

sdifox

No Lifer
I drove down to NYC this past weekend and was able to fill up with 72 dollars (in NJ I think).

Up here I cannot fill up with 100 dollars.

Stop complaining about gas prices.

It was $105 for me the other day to fill up the tank. It was very low, but I hate hitting triple digits on the gas pump.

What are y'all driving? I've never paid more than $50 to fill a tank, but I've also never driven a car with a gas tank larger than 15 gallons.

Gas prices should work on a tiered system. If you make less the $50k a year, gas should be free.

Let the people that can afford to pay for high gas prices do so. If someone makes 10 million a year, they can afford to pay $100 a gallon to support the lower and middle class.

It's not our fault that you tax the shit out of the stuff....

Oh, and our wonderful Constitution gives us the absolute right to "whine" about gas prices. What do you think about that, eh (in a big ole Canadian "A" accent)?

On top of that, you're exporting the stuff to the US and your prices are higher than the consumer? LOL @ Canada on that one.

well, someone has to pay for shit like government spending. It's not like we can just raise our debt ceiling and call it a day.

annoys the hell out of me that it is our gas that is being sold cheaply in the USA...

While we here in America have taxes on our fuel, it's not nearly as heavily taxed as in many countries...if you want cheaper gasoline...tell your politicians to stop taxing it so much.

Just several years ago we were filling up with twenty bucks.
We are pissed off because the price for a staple commodity with a relatively stable supply and relatively stable demand is very unpredictable, it's one thing to see heavy inflation of like 10%, but to see the price change by 200% is scary....

These high commodity prices are very heavy contributors to the horrible economy here in the USA right now.

You can indeed...but we'll just come north and take it if you do...
