If a theater has stadium seating, you're pretty much getting blasted by an LCD flashlight throughout the whole movie because these assholes can't go without texting for 2 hours. People need to turn their phones off or learn to leave the theater if they need to use them. End of story.

I saw district 9 last weekend and had 2 groups of morons behind us.
Thankfully the larger group was only being annoying during the previews. Once the movie started they shutup.

The main problem was the junkie couple. They were giggling walking in, giggling while picking seats. Giggling while sitting down. They would not shut the fuck up. 10 minutes into the movie this german lady next to me turns around and yells " What the fuck? Are you on drugs? Shut your mouths I am trying to watch the movie." It was perfect. They were quiet for a little while, and never reached pre-german levels of annoying after that.

The cell phone screens are bar far the brightest thing in the theatre. It's not unlike someone flashing a flashlight in your direction. Hard to ignore.

i have found a good pistol whipping to the back of the head works fairly well... it is hard to annoy someone when you are unconscious. this is one of the reasons i rarely go see movies. too fucking many asshats. and I do not want to go to jail again.

and I just seen RED.

Jammers.

Would be nice if theatres implemented them, if it weren't for the whole legality issue.

Legal issue? If there is, that sucks. Should just post signs and start throwing Cell users out then.

I agree something should be done. I rarely go to the theatre and when I go normally I get lucky, but I can imagine how annoying it must be. Home theatres FTW.

You are supposed to turn your phone off during movies but rendering them useless via a jammer would likely be illegal. I don't know for sure I'm just guessing. That way if an emergency happened like a fire or someone having a heart attack your phone would be useless, hello lawsuit.

I use my home theatre as much as possible, it's definitely a better visual and aural experience than most theatres, but it's hard to wait up to 5 or 6 months for some of the must see films you've been waiting for.

Failtalk strikes again  I remember being so  at the first couple of time warps. In a couple of weeks we'll be so used to random polls showing up in threads that we'll hardly notice.

What they used to do, go to the Lobby and use a phone. It's just a 10 second walk, tops.

How would they know if you jam intermittently? It could be attributed to poor reception.
