And she thought you deserved to have her drink dumped on you. If you had spent more time thinking about your manners than about what others deserve, you wouldn't have had to deal with that drama.

But maybe you're a drama kind of guy.

No matter what I said (assuming I didn't disrupt the theater) NOTHING justifies them letting their child act the way it did. I didn't swear, and I only said the ONE thing. After I said something to her I didn't say anything for the entire movie, and the kid was talking the entire time.

And what about the way she behaved? Yeah, it was OP's fault to ask them to keep quiet. Get fucking real.

I don't see anyone trying to justify their behavior. While your anger is understandable, you could have been right and SMART about how you handled the situation.

If YOUR behavior had been better, you might have been able to enjoy the actual movie, and then you'd be posting what you thought of it, rather than focusing on the other patrons.

Given the volume at which modern cinemas play the soundtrack, I'm rather surprised you can hear anyone in the theater. On the rare occasions I go to a cinema I bring earplugs just to make the volume tolerable.

Stand in front of them and block their view. When they ask/tell you to move, tell them you will only after their child shuts up.

Movie ends, dumb bitch dumps her drink on me, I stand up and throw mine at her.
Thanks, this will hopefully remind me to NOT drink all my drink if I ever have a theater altercation so that I still have ammo left.

Nice one. This is exactly why we go for matinee as early as possible. People are ridicoulous when it comes to movies theaters. And what is the deal with parents bringing a new born at a 7pm show? Are people really this clueless?

yeah

though i hate to say it..but i agree with six for once. It cost you nothing to try being polite the first time. if that don't work be rude.

though i suspect it wouldn't have mattered in the end.

while Avangers was not to violent i wouldn't take my kids to it. To many adults would be wanting to watch it. I do take them to kids movies and let them act like other kids.

can't wait for it to come out on blu-ray wooo!

This. There's no reason not to be tactful for the first time, even if the person doesn't really deserve it.

this is why i either wait for the blu ray or go a week or two after a movie is released and the theaters are empty

Little girl just will NOT shut up, and the parents do nothing.

Animal tranquilizer in a syringe... then stare at her parents like they're not even more than objects to you... mere bugs who you would not hesitate to squash if they irritate you...

This is why I don't bother with theaters anymore. I have not enjoyed going since everyone is on the phone texting and the others are talking.

That poor kid.

LOL, that is the problem. People think that setting no expectations for children is how they should be raised...

Bullshit.

My son has a lot of freedom at home. He has a lot of freedom on the playground. He has a lot of freedom where it is appropriate.

He knows what is appropriate at a restaurant. He knows what is appropriate at the movie theater. And it didn't take corporal punishment. My son has never been spanked. He has never been hit. It just takes real parenting.....

So this is why people can't behave like they do on the internet in real life...

Crap like this is why I have a 130" projector in my basement and haven't been to a theater in over 4 years.

Unless she was large and in charge, I don't think you accidentally spill soda on the person sitting in front of you. Maybe the person BESIDE you.
It happens.
When I was 18 or 19 the gf and I were sitting in our seats in basically an empty theater. Some dude and his gf sat right in front of us when there were plenty of empty seats all over. I loudly made a comment about it thinking they would move, they didn't. I went and got a soda for the gf and my self and as I was scooting by her to take my seat I leaned forward. The lid came off my soda and went down the back of the dudes neck in front of me.
They moved then.

It's amazing how blind people can be when it comes to the actions of their children.

This is a modern phenomena, it was not like this when I was a child. Society as a whole is going down hill. Multiculturalism has led to nothing but a complete lack of respect for others.

my friends and i used to piss off adults 30 years ago, except it was not in the theater. kids were always assholes and parents didn't care
