the XBOX 360 demo station in Target was dissapoiting...

Yesterday I beat the COD 2 demo on 360 in a Target store while playing on a 24 inch 720p Samsung 940 syncmaster.

All I saw was freakin JAGGIES JAGGIES everywhere on that LCD, where the hell is the 4x AA microsoft promised??? and there was probably 2x or maybe 0x Anistrophic filtering, because the texture was definetly blurry as hell beyond 2~3 meters.

I can't call this next-gen at all cause even my old 6800 nu SLI with 3200+ setup can run COD 2 demo at 1280x1024 on 4x AA and 8x AF with no slow-downs, and the xbox 360 can't even do that? WTF?!?!

At first I thought the LCD was limted to 480p so I hit menu on it, but on the menu it clearly stated 720p was running.

After this i started up Kameo demo, I saw some jaggies but still no AF as well, why doesn't the next-gen have AF and AA? This is as stupid as it can get.

The most stupid thing was that a guy came up and said to me WOW THAT LOOKS REALLY GOOD, I wanted to say WTF are u stupid or retarded? Of course I didn't say that, instead, I said it doesn't look that good, look at these lines they look like stairs, and look at the floor, it looks like paint.

i absolutely agree. i was in target today also with the same exact setup and game, and i could have sworn my a64 3400+ AND 6800GT looks even better.

Welcome to last month, if you paid attention to the countless 360 threads, you'd know that many of the kiosks were incorrectly setup.

Go talk to the people who actually own one, and set it up right at home, and they'll tell you how awesome it looks.

I own a AMD x2 3800 and a 7800GT on a dell 2405 at 1920x1200

I also own a Xbox 360 w/ 3 games and can say, yeah my pc looks better but it doesnt run as good. I would rather play something that looks great and is fast then something that looks really great but runs like crap.

kiosks arent set up right.....even if u go to the menu and set 720p, it wont unless youve actually used or switched to the right A/V cables out the back

No, I'm having troubles playing PDZ and Condemed, I can't remember if I want the Y axis reversed or not, both ways feels wrong.
