I have to pass. I am afraid I will order it then next week see it on Overstock or Amazon for $14.99.

Doubtful. The whole series has been out on DVD for years and I rarely see a season for less than $100. Thanks OP!

The best Deal I found on X-files was Season 6 brand new for 60.00 on Ebay. That was hot... This is smoking!!!

Very nice price. Tempting, but I've spent too much money this year already. Luckily, I recorded them to VHS years ago. Will have to do for now or until the tapes wear out.

how i wished my tapes would worth some money in the future... then they invented DVD and DVD boxsets 🙁

Then it will be HD-DVD.... then it will be SHD-DVD.... then it will be ????

I bought all nine seasons of the x-files as they were released. They will eventually become obsolete, and then I'll sell them for $2 a season in a garage sale. I doubt I'll buy the Super High Definition set when it's released.

Damn you people. I'm out 35$ now.

Definitely the best seaosn, IMO. Each episode can stand on its own and the humor of the Mulder character was in full swing. I especially loved E.B.E...and that guy's performance in Beyond The Sea was seriously one of the best guest appearance ever in a TV series.

Even if it trailed off drastically in the final few seasons, these old episodes are a monolith of truly great television. So I'd hardly say you're out $35.

i was in junior high when the first season came on (damn i'm old). my parents used to work late and i watched the show home alone and get the crap scared out of me on some of the darker 1st season episodes

I pulled the trigger since $35 is way too good of a price for truly classic television. Now if only seasons 2 through 5 would go up for this price, I 'd have the true prime seasons of this show.
