The thread about Citizen Kane being the best movie ever made got me to thinking about the worst movie I've ever seen.

The worst movie ever: Battlefield Earth

I like watching movies but I couldn't even bring myself to watch this one all the way through, which is extremely rare for me because no matter how bad a movie, I usually watch it through to see if it has any redeeming qualities at all.

i downloaded B:E on divx last year to see what all the fuss was about. my roomate, my friend and i all thought that the movie wasn't nearly as bad as everyone claims it is. i thought it was ok.

the worst movie i can remember in recent history is mission to mars. my favorite quote from mtm (keep in mind that all this was said with a straight face by the actors). this is pretty close to what was said:

Dope #1: "Well, there are only 3 gravesites. That means someone must have survived."
Dope #2: "But the 4th person who died wouldn't be able to bury themself."
(sinister look from everyone)

Then i bust out laughing. Don't you think NASA scientists and astronauts would have a better grasp on logic?

I also enjoyed the 10 minutes of nonstop laughter that I experienced while watching the end of the movie.

I know I've seen worse movies than this, but thanksfully I've deleted them from my memory...I'll let ya know if I remember anymore
 
i second the avengers.. that was AWEFUL... altho... i woke up near the end and men in colorful bear suits were running around.. and no.. i wasnt on drugs
 

The only movie I've ever not finished before walking out of the theater is Harry Potter...too boring for me.

 
There are some real turds on this list. From what people have said, I'd second:

Escape from LA
The Avengers

and I think that I would have to add:

Vegas Vacation
