What would be the point of hiding that it's unsafe? Millions of people will be eating it, they will be found out pretty quickly.

Not necessarily, new drugs have been tested, confirmed as safe by the FDA, released to be prescribed, only to have found out that some people had severe enough effects in enough instances that the drug had to be pulled off the market, we might not know the long-term effects of eating GMO foods until decades from now.

You guys have a reasonably valid point about Monsanto having such a large presence in the world's food supply. But you shit all over it with all GMO nutter nonsense.

The Anti-GMO people are perceived by many to be in the Anti-Vaccine group. Same type of people. Monsanto may be a huge, evil corporation with bad business practice. That has nothing to do with GMO. Lots of people hate on Microsoft, but it doesn't mean that operating systems are evil.

drugs are different because they known/expected to have side effects. It can take a few years to determine if the RATE of the side effects is unacceptable.

food is not expected to have any side effects period, much easier to spot

then you consider the obligatory lawsuits, the recalls, the bad publicity, Monsanto and other firms have a very strong incentive to ensure that anything they release is safe.
