the wonderful world of cussing in cantonese

Was driving home the other day and this chinese guy cut in front of me. Didn't let him into my lane (I had the right of way) and the guy started talking sh!t to me.

"you have so much "lun" room!" "you want to 'jack chow'"? "deal lay no mo hum ga chan" etc etc etc. There were a ton of other crap that he said.

ok so basically I pieced them all together after my little road rage and realized that cantonese swear words are the most colorful amongst all of swear words (I think.).

yup... you basically can make a swear word out of any adjactive or verb. 🙂 Cantonese is poetically beautifully 🙂

no mo = mother

the first two clause can be put together.... ala screw your mother.

the last clause "hum ga chan" literally mean "wish you whole family die"

thanks. i ask because in high school, my best friend's mom would come home from work every night cussing him out, and she always said that and i finally asked him what it meant and he told me she was calling him a 'lazy bastard'. but if its worse, he probably was just trying to save himself the embarrassment.
