If I have to pick, Boy Meets World.

Sorry, fuck nostalgia, the Wonder Years was terrible and I can't watch it without wanting to punch all of their whiney faces in. And that Olive Oil bitch was ugly.

Wonder Years x10000000000000

Boy Meets World was just a teen drama.

The Wonder Years had heart and touched everyone's coming-of-age nostalgia. It was even set in late 60's that tracked Kevin and everyone's life to their present day of 1993.

That heart-warming ending narration:

Kevin Arnold - The Narrator: Things never turn out exactly the way you planned. I know they didn't with me. Still, like my father used to say, 'Traffic's traffic, you go where life takes you' and growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers, the next you're gone, but the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul. I remember a time a place, a particular fourth of July, the things that happened in that decade of war and change. I remember a house like a lot of houses, a yard like a lot of yards, on a street like a lot of other streets. I remember how hard it was growing up among people and places I loved. Most of all, I remember how hard it was to leave. And the thing is, after all these years I still look back in wonder.

YES. Oh that show was amazing with the perfect narration. Growing up with it, and going back and watching it, it almost brings me to tears and think "how true, how true indeed"

Wonder Years had the better opening song. :p

EDIT:

Although,
I will be forever annoyed that he didn't get Winnie in the end!
:|

I think this is what made it amazing. because the ending will nto always be what you expect, especially in life...

Damn now I want to load that up and watch it again.

Same, and i have similar events that happened with him to myself, and that final narration puts it all back into perspective. It is really hard to explain for those that did not grow up with this.

Given that it was set in the same time period that I grew up, I would have been Wayne's age in the show timeline, I'll go with The Wonder Years.

This x10000000000000. Boy Meets World wasn't even close. I'm hoping they make a new Wonder Years set in the late 70s/early 80s at some point. :)

And it sounds lame.

It is going to parallel boy meets world very closely. Just set many years later... and the girl is the daughter of cory from boy meets world.

I mean its a neat idea... but come on... wheres the wonder years sequel?

Boy Meets World but maybe since I am younger that is why. I remember growing up watching that show and still do to this day if I see it on.

I grew up watching Boy Meets World as well, and I've seen far more of it than I have of The Wonder Years. My mom liked The wonder Years, so I mostly just saw it whenever she watched it. Even with that, I still think that it's a better show overall.

Although, I do agree that the shows really weren't the same. Boy Meets World was one of your Friday night sitcoms (think Family Matters, Step by Step, Full House, etc.) and The Wonder Years was a family drama.

I think this is what made it amazing. because the ending will nto always be what you expect, especially in life...

Don't get me wrong... as much as it always dismays me that
Kevin doesn't land the gal
(not exactly sure why I'm spoiler tagging a 25-year-old show :p), it was an interesting way to end it.
