The Witcher 2, Now delayed

May 2011 sounds fine to me, I never knew it had an earlier date, that one sounds pretty reasonable though...

They need to take their time and do it right.

Still trying to get into the first Witcher. Feels like a "Fable done right," but the thing is, I do not like the "Fable feel."

Oh well, back to playing Neverwinter Nights community modules.

How the hell is that game anything like Fable? Fable is childish fluff. Witcher is one RPG where your decisions actually bear real consequences later on, and the abundant discrimination in the game world is one of the more sophisticated realities presented in any game.

This will probably be a steam sale game for me, probably next summer or fall when it's down to $20 or lower. I'm looking forward to it, but there's enough good stuff coming out next spring (Brink, ToR) that I won't bother to pay $25 extra to play it the day it launches.

I only buy games on sale from Steam now anyways. Very few games are now day one buys for me (Anything Warhammer 40k is instant buy).

^ right, the same company. I'm tempted to pre-order but I haven't finished the first one yet -- I keep getting distracted by other games like Mass Effect 2 and Fallout New Vegas.

i tried to go back to my game of witcher, after about 5 months without playing.

I'm somewhere in that swamp on the 2nd city, I think...have absolutely no recollection of the story and various cases that I was following at the time, pretty sure I was clsoe to finishing that chapter, or hitting the end action of it, anyway, but couldn't figure out what to do.

totally forgot the combat mechanics and got owned real quick. thoughts about starting over no good--as I was annoyed at how cumbersome the questing is, I just don't want to go back through it. eh.

Too many games...

Who said PC Gaming is dead?

I don't think the argument is that there aren't any games for the PC--it's that they are being progressively dumbed-down

So, from a certain point of view (a certain point of view?)--classic PC Gaming is, indeed, dead?

I'm happy that the developer is delaying it and delivering a more polished game. I'm tired of the buggy crap that is getting released lately.

Chapter 2 was real cumbersome, I hated that chapter... it gets much much better after that chapter. The game was a real gem.
