The Witcher 2 headed to the Xbox 360 later this year

CD Projekt Red just announced that The Witcher 2 is coming to the Xbox 360. It will include all DLC released for the PC version along with any gameplay enhancements or features that are patched in when it is released by the end of this year.

If you remember, they tried to bring The Witcher to consoles but there were some monetary issues with the developers they handed the work off too. Sounds like they are handling it themselves this time.

No mention of a PS3 version. Expect more at E3 next week.

If you have a decent PC I'd stick with that version. It's one of the better looking PC games in a long time and you'll definitely lose something on the 360.

My computer is 7 or 8 years old .

I think I have an nVidia 6800GT card or something even less powerful.

inb4 all the "the game is terrible because it is on console" garbage.

It was hinted it was coming earlier due to it getting an ESRB rating in Europe (or whatever they call it) for the Xbox360. I am glad they made it for PC and then converted it. It is a superb game, better than the Witcher.

Somebody's already bitching in PC gaming about how it already plays like a console game. That's all anybody says anymore... "it's designed for a console blah blah blah it sucks"

I suppose if you hook a controller up to your PC then it would play like a console game.

I wonder how much the graphics will be toned down, and I also wonder how they will handle the nudity. The menu will need to be revamped as well.

Also how will they handle DLC on the 360 version, since I thought MS didn't allow free DLC over a certain size.

I hope the console version does well. But I also hope they develop Witcher 3 for the PC first, a la how they handled Witcher 2

But I have faith in them.

Why would nudity be handled any differently on the console version?

Did you read the OP? The DLC will be included with the game.

Nudity on consoles is usually less accepted than nudity on PC. Even ME got hell for their non-nude "sex scenes".

I'm assuming you haven't played the game...the menu, IMO, would be a pain to use with a controller. I have hundreds of items in lists...it would be a little difficult to maneuver around without a mouse.

At least, I would rather have a mouse. It would take a lot longer otherwise...

Did you read the OP? The DLC will be included with the game.

I mean post-release DLC, unless they just aren't going to have any.

It will be worth the wait. I have already played the pc version. I didn't like the interface at first, but I got used to it. The game might be slightly different on the console, but rest assured it won't be terrible!
